A Firstbase Alternative for Non-US Wyoming LLC Owners

Firstbase forms Delaware and Wyoming companies for founders around the world, and its headline price is hard to miss: $99 to start. If you're a non-US founder weighing Firstbase against our Non-US Founder Package, the useful comparison is what each costs once a registered agent is on the bill. We sell the competing package, so read our take accordingly.

Firstbase's strengths

  • A priced tax product for non-US owners. Firstbase sells non-US single-member LLC tax filing at $899 a year: a pro forma 1120, Form 5472, 1099s, and an extension. Few providers publish that so plainly.
  • Mercury access, which Firstbase names on its Start page.
  • No SSN or ITIN required for the EIN, according to Firstbase.
  • Delaware or Wyoming, LLC or C-corp, plus mailroom and accounting products if you want more later.
  • Annual reports included in its registered agent service.

The math for a Wyoming LLC

Firstbase says registered agent services are required for incorporation. Add its $299 agent to the $99 Start price and year one comes to $398 plus Wyoming's $100 fee. Ours is $399 plus the same $100. So the first year is close to a tie.

The difference shows up after that. Each later year, Firstbase's agent is $299. Ours is $99. Over five years, that's $800 apart on the agent alone. Firstbase's figure does include annual report filing; ours doesn't, so factor in your own time or another service for Wyoming's yearly report.

What else is different

One order, done for you. We use your order details to fill in your Articles of Organization and your EIN application. You sign once.

Your bank application is ready when you sign. You don't wait for the IRS to finish. We prepare the application with your filed Articles attached; once you've checked and okayed it, we send it on, and the EIN follows later. The account decision belongs to our partners, and we can't guarantee it.

Straight talk on the IRS. Faxed EIN applications usually take the IRS 2 to 8 weeks, and there's no way to pay for faster handling.

What's not included with us

Wyoming's annual report and license tax, and any US tax filing such as Form 5472. For taxes, work with a professional who knows non-resident owners.

Choose Firstbase if

  • You want Form 5472 and the pro forma 1120 filed by the same company that formed your LLC, at a published $899 a year.
  • You'd like annual reports handled inside your agent fee.
  • You're forming a Delaware C-corp or want Firstbase's mailroom and accounting products.

If you mainly want a Wyoming LLC, an EIN without an SSN, and a bank application with the lowest renewal, start here.

FAQ

Firstbase shows $99. Why is your package $399?

Firstbase Start covers formation, and its page says a registered agent is required but not included. Firstbase Agent is $299 a year. Our $399 includes the agent for year one, the EIN, and your bank account application. Both of us add the state fee on top.

What will I pay each year after the first?

With Firstbase, the registered agent alone is $299 a year per state. With us it's $99 a year for the agent, and nothing else from us renews.

Does Firstbase file Form 5472?

It offers a separate non-US single-member LLC tax filing product at $899 a year covering a pro forma 1120, Form 5472, 1099s, and an extension. We don't prepare tax returns, so if you want that bundled, Firstbase has a clear option.

Do I need an SSN for either service?

No. Firstbase states that no SSN or ITIN is required. We use the IRS fax process for owners without one: you e-sign Form SS-4 and we send it.

Who files my Wyoming annual report?

Firstbase lists annual reports inside its $299 registered agent product. We don't file annual reports, so with us you file Wyoming's report and pay the license tax (from $60) yourself.
